Relativity Space in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for our Machine Shop to define processes and drive improvements for Terran R parts. You will collaborate with engineering and design teams, push manufacturability, and help scale a state-of-the-art shop with premium machinery.

You’ll advance from operating machines toward programming them, shaping the career path alongside the Terran R program, and contribute to a culture of technical rigor and creativity.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering or comparable STEM field.
• 2+ years of experience in machining.
• 3+ years’ experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, or Supply Chain.
• Knowledge of GD&T.

Responsabilités

• Create Process Plans, SOPs, Inspection Plans, and other docs to define part processes.
• Improve manufacturing processes by deploying new technologies and methods.
• Advise on design for manufacturability upstream with partners.
• Define manufacturing, fixturing, inspection methods for designs and GD&T.
• Recommend designs to improve manufacturability.
• Investigate non-conforming hardware, determine root causes and corrective actions.
