Job summary

Relativity Space is building rockets and a world-class machine shop to support the Terran R program. This Manufacturing Engineer role collaborates with engineering and design teams to define processes, inspect parts, and drive improvements across machining and fixtures.

You’ll grow from operating machines to programming them, contributing to flight hardware and manufacturing breakthroughs with clear training paths and a fast-paced culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or STEM field.
• 2+ years of machining experience.
• Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, or Supply Chain.

Responsibilities

• Create Process Plans, SOPs, Inspection Plans, Work Holding Designs, and other documents.
• Improve manufacturing processes by deploying new technologies and methodologies.
• Advise on design for manufacturability to upstream partners.
• Articulate manufacturing, fixturing, and inspection methods for designs and GD&T requirements.
• Recommend novel designs or updates to improve manufacturability.
• Investigate non-conforming hardware, determine root causes, and define corrective actions.
