Job summary

Owensboro Community and Technical College is hiring a full-time 10-month instructor for Computerized Manufacturing and Machining (CMM). The instructor will teach the CMM program within the Manufacturing and Skilled Trades Department.

Teaching assignments include Fundamentals of Machine Tools, CAD, Blueprint Reading, CNC, CAM, and related courses to support the program’s curriculum and workforce needs. Evening/online/off-campus assignments may be required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Computerized Manufacturing and Machining (Machine Tool Technology) required with 3 years of relevant work experience.
• High School diploma required with 5 years of applicable work experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in conventional machining, manual CNC programming, CAD/CAM, CNC, Blueprint Reading, Metrology, and safety practices.
• Maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in CMM.
• Collaborate with industry to identify short-term training needs and internships; support curriculum alignment and program advisement.
• Provide career-related advising for CMM students.
• Engage in recruitment and retention activities targeting adult learners and partnerships.
• Participate in faculty development and CMM curriculum committee meetings.
