Owensboro Community & Technical College is hiring a full-time 10-month instructor for Computerized Manufacturing and Machining (CMM). The instructor will teach the CMM program within the Manufacturing and Skilled Trades Department, handling courses like Fundamentals of Machine Tools, CAD, Blueprint Reading, CNC, CAM, and applied machining.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Computerized Manufacturing and Machining (Machine Tool Technology) and three (3) years’ relevant work experience.
• High School diploma and five (5) years of applicable work experience.

Responsabilités

• Provide instruction in conventional machining, manual CNC Programming, CAD, CAM, CNC, Blueprint Reading, Metrology, and safety practices.
• Maintain current knowledge of emerging technologies, trends, and issues in the CMM field.
• Collaborate with business and industry to identify short-term training needs, internship placement, curriculum alignment, program advisement, industry testing, and track Student Learning Outcomes.
• Provide career-related advising and counseling for CMM program students.
• Engage in recruitment and retention activities through programming at secondary schools, community partners, and professional organizations; focus on adult learners.
• Participate in faculty professional development activities including employer sponsored training.
• Participate in KCTCS system-level CMM Curriculum Committee meetings and contribute curriculum development.
• Other duties as assigned.
