Job summary

Caterpillar Remanufacturing in Corinth, Mississippi offers a hands-on Machining Apprentice program. You will operate hand tools, machining centers, and testing equipment to remanufacture engines and components, while learning torque and quality standards.

Starting pay is $19.75 per hour with a 7% night shift premium for 2nd shift. The apprenticeship runs 15–32 hours per week, with potential to transition to full-time based on performance and openings.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in NEMCC TIGER Apprenticeship Program and pursuing an Associate Degree in Diesel Power Technology or related field.
• Experience with hoists and engines.
• Knowledge of basic tooling including hand tools, air tools, gauges, and pneumatic tools.
• Reading blueprints and following standard work instructions.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of hand tools, machining centers and testing equipment to remanufacture engines, cylinder heads and components.
• Work in a fast-paced environment focused on safety and quality.
• Interpret blueprints and check quality against standard work requirements.
• Load and unload parts and follow torque requirements.
