Job summary

CAT is seeking a results-driven Sales Support specialist to locate machines and attachments that fit customer needs, and to help close sales transactions. You will draft quotes, communicate terms, and prepare contracts for orders.

You will coordinate make-ready processes, prepare reports, and assist sales teams with pricing and product availability. This role requires strong communication, organization, and attention to detail in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 1–2 years related experience, or equivalent combination.
• Proficient with MS Word and Excel; able to create and interpret reports.
• Strong communication, presentation, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to read safety rules and operating instructions and write routine reports.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups and participate in meetings.

Responsibilities

• Research and locate machines/attachments to meet customer needs and close sales.
• Draft and communicate quotes and terms, prepare sales contracts.
• Prepare and present reports of business transactions and maintain expenses.
• Initiate and follow up on make-ready process and shipment to customers.
• Coordinate and communicate make-ready shops and pricing with the team.
• Assist salespersons with pricing/availability of machines and product applications.
• Initiate shipment to end users and store transfers.
• Complete make-ready forms for new machine sales and leases.
• Initiate and maintain reservations on orders, machines, and attachments.
• Review machine make-ready forms, freight invoices and work orders.
• Initiate machine deal sheets and verify descriptions before billing.
