Burke Porter, An Ascential Technologies Company, is seeking a skilled Machine Tool Electrician for on-site work in Shelby Township, MI. The role requires interpreting blueprints, assembling control panels, and diagnosing electrical issues in machine tools and automation systems.

Significant travel up to 20% and use of personal hand tools are expected. The candidate should have 5+ years of relevant experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift heavy equipment and work both

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Machine Tool Electrician or in a similar role.
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics.
Must own hand tools and be able to use them effectively.
Willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% per year.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Valid driver’s license is required.
Physically capable of lifting/moving equipment over 10 lbs.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand assembly requirements and specifications.
Install and assemble control panels using hand and power tools according to product specs.
Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions in machine tools and automation systems using diagnostic tools.
Collaborate with engineering to interpret electrical schematics for machine tool integration.
Perform preventative maintenance to ensure reliability of electrical systems.
Stay updated on machine tool concepts, practices, and procedures.
