Job summary

Burke Porter, an Ascential Technologies Company, is seeking a Panel Builder for layout, assembly, wiring, and testing of industrial control panels and components in a manufacturing setting.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of related experience, reads schematics, and can troubleshoot electrical systems. This role requires attention to detail, independence, and the ability to work safely with a range of voltages. Overtime and weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of control panel wiring or electrical assembly.
• Basic understanding of electrical circuits and industrial control systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience wiring, terminating, and testing panels and cables preferred.
• Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Assemble industrial control panels according to schematics and drawings.
• Install and terminate electrical components including PLCs and VFDs.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams and manufacturing docs.
• Build and test cables and harnesses; solder connectors as required.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits and panels (480VAC, 120VAC, 24VDC).
• Verify wiring accuracy and ensure compliance with project specs.
• Follow engineering revisions and manufacturing processes.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workstation.
• Collaborate with Electrical Engineering, Project Management, and Team Leads.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and overhead cranes where required.
