Job summary

Edge Technologies is seeking a Machine Technician Mechanical to configure machines to CNC lathe specifications and install and test accessories. You will perform mechanical adjustments, disassembly and modification of sub-assemblies, and basic wiring on high/24-volt systems.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in machine building or automotive repair, with strong hand and power tool skills and a high school diploma; technical training is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in machine building or automotive repair.
• Proficiency with a multimeter and wiring diagrams; basic wiring.
• Overhead crane operation, forklift experience, CDL a plus.

Responsibilities

• Mechanically configure machines to CNC lathe specifications, perform adjustments and assembly.
• Install and test machine accessories; finalize equipment setup.
• Perform basic wiring tasks on high/24-volt systems as required.

Job description

Machine Technician Mechanical

This candidate will be responsible for mechanically configuring our machines to the customer's CNC lathe specifications. This includes mechanical adjustments, disassembly and modifications of mechanical sub-assemblies, and the final installation and testing of the machine's accessories. Ability to perform some basic wiring tasks on the machines' high voltage and 24-volt communication system is required.

Qualifications

• Mechanical skills: Must be an above average mechanic, be skilled with hand and power tools, and possess professional work habits. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years' experience in machine building or automotive repair.
• Electrical skills: Proficiency using a multimeter and following a wiring diagram or schematic for the purposes of performing basic wiring. Ability and willingness to learn more advanced wiring and troubleshooting techniques with training.
• General skills: Knowledge of overhead crane operation, fork truck experience, and a commercial driver's license are pluses.
• Candidate must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Technical school certificate in related disciplines is preferred, but equivalent and demonstrated practical experience is acceptable.
