Job summary

RTX in Jamestown, ND is seeking a Machine Shop Manufacturing Engineer to support long-bed and large-aluminum machining operations. You will combine hands-on manufacturing with engineering problem solving to drive process improvement and have a direct impact on shop floor performance.

This onsite role offers relocation eligibility and a chance to tackle complex manufacturing challenges, shaping engineering decisions in production and contributing to efficient, reliable processes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics with 2+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree.
• Onsite in Jamestown, ND; relocation eligible.

Responsibilities

• Design and arrange machines to improve layout and efficiency.
• Specify fabrication procedures for tools and equipment to optimize performance.
• Develop manufacturing processes with SPC to ensure compliance and effective production.
• Ensure modifications, programs, and bulletins are incorporated per customer and regulatory requirements.
• Design and develop manufacturing processes considering tech transfer from R&D to production.
• Develop procedures for economical mass production with pilot-plant input.
• Test and measure production variables; troubleshoot and resolve production process issues.
• Review field support requirements and recommend tools and test equipment.
• Determine maintenance and repair materials required for deployment.
• May advise on acquisition and use of new equipment and materials.
