Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Jamestown, ND is hiring a Machine Shop Manufacturing Engineer. You will blend hands-on manufacturing with engineering problem solving to drive process improvement on long-bed and large-aluminum machining operations.

In this onsite role, you will design machines in plant layouts, develop production processes, and support tooling, fixtures, and QC measures to ensure efficient mass production.

Qualifications

• Requires a STEM degree and typically 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Prefers machine shop background and CNC/process familiarity.
• Experience with CAD modeling (NX or related) and SAP or other MRP systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Help design and arrange machines within plant facilities for efficient layouts.
• Develop and validate manufacturing processes for production and SPC compliance.
• Support in tooling and fixture design and selection for production optimization.
• Troubleshoot production problems and determine maintenance/material needs.
