Job summary

Saronic Technologies is seeking a Machine Shop Helper to support machinists and fabrication teams building autonomous surface vessels. You will prep materials, stage tooling and fixtures, deburr, and operate basic equipment while keeping work areas organized and safe.

The role requires reading measurements, lifting up to 50 pounds, and collaboration with the team to meet quality standards. Overtime and weekend shifts may be required, with competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to stand continuously and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Prior industry experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy, and apply concepts of basic math.

Responsibilities

• Read tape measures, gauges, and other test equipment.
• Stack finished product per factory specs.
• Assist with loading and unloading of machines.
• Secure raw materials.
• Hand deburr of fabricated metal components.
• Operate saws and raw material processing equipment.
• Clean machinery.
• Expedite completed parts.
• Participate in crew meetings and problem solving; maintain quality standards.
• Able to work alternate shifts, weekends, and overtime as required.
• Report final counts to supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.
