Saronic Technologies Inc. is seeking a Machine Shop Supervisor to lead day-to-day machining operations, ensuring quality and on-time delivery. The role requires strong leadership, technical machining expertise, and a focus on safety and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have a manufacturing background, with defense or autonomous systems context, and a proven track record in team leadership and process optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field (preferred).
• 5+ years of machine shop experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong knowledge of machining processes, CNC programming, and tooling.
• Defense industry or autonomous systems experience is a plus.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage projects, and meet deadlines.
• Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Leadership & Team Management: Supervise and mentor a team of machinists and technicians, promoting collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Operational Oversight: Manage scheduling, planning, and execution of machining operations to meet production goals.
• Quality Control: Implement QA protocols to ensure precision and reliability; troubleshoot machining issues.
• Equipment Management: Oversee maintenance and repair of machinery; assess new technologies to enhance production.
• Collaboration: Work with engineering/design teams and coordinate with supply chain for materials and inventory.
• Budget Management: Assist in budget preparation and identify cost-reduction opportunities while maintaining quality.
