Job summary

Saronic Technologies is hiring a 2nd Shift Manufacturing Engineer to design, optimize, and oversee manufacturing processes for autonomous surface vessels. You will work with cross‑functional teams to ensure cost-effective production and high quality while applying lean methods to reduce waste.

Responsibilities include collaborating with design and engineering, sourcing materials, maintaining QA standards, and documenting processes to meet regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering; master's preferred.
• Proven experience in manufacturing engineering for complex electromechanical systems.
• Familiarity with autonomous systems, robotics, or maritime technologies is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations for autonomous maritime systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for autonomous surface vessels.
• Implement lean principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Collaborate with design/engineering teams to align manufacturing with specifications.
• Source and qualify materials with suppliers and vendors.
• Establish quality control measures and perform root cause analysis.
• Create and maintain documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide training and support to production personnel.
