Job summary
Saronic Technologies, a leader in autonomous maritime technology, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to ensure robust manufacturing processes and scale production. You will integrate new equipment, collaborate with software and production teams, and drive automation adoption to improve efficiency on the shipyard floor.
You will work aloft and in confined spaces as needed, with on-site training provided, to support a transition from low-rate to high-volume production and implement new automation
Qualifications
- Ability to operate or learn manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to train others on operating equipment.
- Understands maintenance requirements and develops a maintenance plan with production engineering.
- Identify emerging needs on the manufacturing floor.
- Identify weak/strong spots in equipment and personnel to boost efficiency.
- Ensure strict adherence to quality and compliance paperwork.
- Work with software engineering on shipyard/production management system buildout.
- Read, interpret, and follow blueprints and sketches.
Responsibilities
- Execute repairs of manufacturing equipment.
- Assist in work prioritization during peak production to maintain workflow.
- Support transition from low-rate to high-volume production with process and infra changes.
- Onboard new automated assets, collaborating with software and production engineering to improve production software.
- Create manufacturing processes in unstructured areas of the operational system.
- Assist in prioritization during peak production to maintain efficiency.
