Machine Packaging Operator - 3rd Shift (Finance)

Timken Distribution Center is seeking a 3rd Shift Machine Packaging Operator for its Duncan, SC facility. The shift is Monday-Friday, 11pm-7am, with overtime as needed. We value safety, accuracy, productivity, and customer service in our team.

Purpose and Scope

Operate packaging machines to package cups, cones, and assemblies up to 6 inches in diameter into various cartons, with imprints of part numbers, bar codes, and customer-specific information.

Responsibilities

1. Gather supplies, verify quality, and ensure cartons support product weight.
2. Check product quantity, inspect for correct part numbers and defects, and correct errors.
3. Stage and replenish products in the feeding area, maintaining consistent speed.
4. Setup, changeover, and troubleshoot packaging equipment.
5. Use technology like computers and RF scanners for verification and order processing.
6. Remove packaged items, perform visual inspections, and prepare for shipping.
7. Coordinate with other areas to resolve issues.
8. Complete forms, maintain cleanliness, and perform miscellaneous duties.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.

Language Skills

Ability to read, interpret safety and work documents, complete forms, and communicate effectively in English.

Physical Demands

Stand, walk, bend, and use hands/arms frequently. Lift/move up to 30-40 pounds regularly, up to 55 pounds occasionally, with assistance for heavier loads. Visual abilities include close, peripheral, and depth perception.

Personal Protective Equipment

• Protective-toe shoes required at all times.

Proficiency

• Experience in production environments.
• Machine operating skills.
