Sauder Woodworking Co. is hiring hands-on Machine Setup Operators to join our parts-making teams. Earn up to $21/hour with a $2/hour premium on 2nd/3rd shifts; raises up to $1.50 in the first year based on performance.

Shifts run 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, 2:30 PM–11:00 PM, and 9:30 PM–6:00 AM. You’ll support setup, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance while documenting production records. Ideal candidates have experience with manufacturing equipment, strong math skills, and the ability to work safely

Qualifications

• Experience operating machines or equipment in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong math skills and basic algebra ability are desired.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and think critically.
• Comfortable using computers for data entry and documentation.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well on a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing equipment in safety, quality, and production standards.
• Set up, adjust, troubleshoot, and perform routine maintenance on production machinery.
• Monitor equipment performance and product quality during the shift.
• Conduct inspections and quality checks and make consistent quality decisions.
• Complete production records and basic computer documentation.
• Maintain a clean, safe 5S work area.
• Meet daily production and schedule goals and participate in improvements.

Pay & Shift Information

• Earn up to $21/hour with premium

• Offer tailored for proven experience
• Eligible for increases at 6 months and 12 months based on performance—up to $1.50 increase in first year
• Shifts: 1st 6 AM - 2:30 PM, 2nd 2:30 PM -11:00 PM, 3rd 9:30 PM - 6:00 AM

What You’ll Do

• Operate manufacturing equipment in accordance with safety, quality, and production standards.
• Set up, adjust, troubleshoot, and perform routine maintenance on production machinery.

• Strong math skills, including basic algebra.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and think critically.
• Comfortable using computers for data entry and documentation.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively on a team.
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to receive feedback and adapt as needed.

Reliable attendance and ability to work assigned shift; may need to train on 1st shift.
