Job summary

Sauder-Woodworking-Co. in Archbold, Ohio is hiring hands-on Machine Setup Operators to join our parts-making teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will set up and troubleshoot production machinery, monitor quality, complete production records, and maintain a clean 5S work area while meeting daily targets and contributing to continuous improvement. Experience with manufacturing equipment and basic math is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing equipment in accordance with safety, quality, and production standards.
• Set up, adjust, troubleshoot, and perform routine maintenance on production machinery.
• Monitor equipment performance and product quality throughout the shift.
• Perform inspections and quality checks; make consistent quality decisions.
• Accurately complete production records and basic computer documentation.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area following 5S standards.
• Meet daily production and schedule goals.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts.

Pay & Shift Information

• Earn up to $21/hour with premium
• $2/hour premium for 2nd and 3rd shifts
• Offer tailored for proven experience
• Eligible for increases at 6 months and 12 months based on performance—up to $1.50 increase in first year
• Shifts: 1st 6 AM - 2:30 PM, 2nd 2:30 PM -11:00 PM, 3rd 9:30 PM - 6:00 AM

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• Experience operating machines or equipment in a manufacturing or industrial environment (preferred).
• Strong math skills, including basic algebra.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and think critically.
• Comfortable using computers for data entry and documentation.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively on a team.
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to receive feedback and adapt as needed.

Reliable attendance and ability to work assigned shift; may need to train on 1st shift.
