Job Title: Operator lll, Technician

Schedule, Shift 1: Mon-Thurs, 4:30am-3pm

Pay Range: $22-$28/hour

Summary

Responsibilities will include, but not limited to, setting up, troubleshooting, and operating conventional, special purpose, and automatic machines and machining centers to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Performs set ups (legacy product) and operates automatic or other machines to produce parts according to blueprints, traveler package, specifications and/or special instructions.
• Supports in start of day machine warm-ups.
• Completes First Article Inspections (FAI) on new set-ups and repeat of 5 orders.
• Support in daily operating or inspections if team has fallen behind/absenteeism.
• Solves or finds support to solve any mechanical issue, i.e. alarms, noises being made, leaks.
• Solves Quality concerns, adjusts the machines accordingly, & documents the adjustments on the daily inspection report.
• Whenever an adjustment is made to the machine, Technician inspects the feature(s) that were adjusted and documents.
• In charge of tool maintenance at the machine, i.e. tool sheet accuracy. Any issues are brought up to PSM 1.
• Weekly/Quarterly PM Support (High pressure filters) plus auditing that the PM sheet is completed on a weekly basis.
• Ensure accuracy in entering Jobboss data.
• Works under recommended waste elimination initiatives specifically related to the manufacturing production function such as recycling opportunities to eliminate or minimize production or paper waste.
• Ensures safety protocols are followed including wearing proper PPE.
• Other duties assigned.

Competencies

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

• Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; monitors own work to ensure quality.
• Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures; determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.
• Material knowledge: Medical vs. Industrial grade Aluminum, brass, titanium, stainless steel. Proper feeds and speeds to maintain control of machining processes.
• Advanced Blueprint reading – (preferred in depth knowledge of GD&T).
• Automated inspection equipment operation.

Education and/or Experience

• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1 year in college or technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years CNC machine experience/general machining ability (measuring devices/blueprints).
• Basic computer skills.
