The Lincolnton, NC Conversion, Customizing and Packaging Center is located approximately 30 miles from Charlotte. The facility employs just under 500 full-time associates in a 5-shift operation, which encompasses 235,000 sq ft. along with 12,000 SKUs. In addition to the conversion, customizing and packaging activities, abrasives are now a big part of our power tool accessory business. ISO certified, our associates engage in BPS, CIP, and 5S. Job Description

1. Support the startup and implementation of the brazing operation of a new production line in the existing Lincolnton, NC facility.
2. During startup, learn firsthand the process and support the development of local work instructions and standards. This position will require extended overseas travel for training.
3. Actively communicate with related departments (Planning, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, etc.).
4. Train and monitor new production associates working on the specified shift and provide timely and effective feedback when required.
5. Be responsible for loading/unloading, operating, adjusting, change-over, maintaining multiple machines, conducting 5S, and aiding in troubleshooting. Responsible for reaching daily targets and escalating deviations.

Qualifications

1. High School Diploma or GED; technical or vocational schooling is a plus.
2. 3 to 5 years of previous experience in brazing processes or similar.
3. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
4. Excellent communication skills — spoken, written, interpersonal.
5. Ability to learn and understand new processes, machines, and technology.
6. Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime.
7. Ability to stand and be mobile for 8 hours.
8. Proper hand dexterity.
9. Ability to read and follow instructions and to read and prepare orders.
10. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
11. Math skills suitable for a machining environment.
12. Ability to read product prints and check products to match specifications.
13. Proficient in measuring devices and setting up machines using basic hand tools.
14. Ability to troubleshoot common machine problems.
15. Ability to read and follow standard operating procedures and procedures related to machine cleanliness and tool organization.
