Machine Operator - Specialist III: Coating - 3rd shift

Our Lincolnton, NC Conversion, Customizing, and Packaging Center is approximately 30 miles from Charlotte. The facility employs nearly 500 full-time associates in a 5-shift operation, covering 235,000 sq ft with 12,000 SKUs. Job Description

1. Support the startup and implementation of the coating operation of a new production line at our Lincolnton, NC facility.
2. During startup, learn the process firsthand and support the development of local work instructions and standards. This role may require extended overseas travel for training.
3. Communicate actively with related departments (Planning, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, etc.).
4. Train and monitor new production associates on the specified shift, providing timely and effective feedback.
5. Operate, adjust, change-over, maintain multiple machines, conduct 5S, and assist in troubleshooting. Responsible for meeting daily targets and escalating deviations.

Qualifications

1. High School Diploma or GED; Technical or Vocational schooling is a plus.
2. 3 to 5 years of experience in Brazing Processes or similar.
3. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
4. Excellent communication skills — spoken, written, interpersonal.
5. Ability to learn new processes, machines, and technologies.
6. Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime.
7. Ability to stand and be mobile for 8 hours.
8. Good hand dexterity.
9. Ability to read and follow instructions and prepare orders.
10. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
11. Math skills suitable for a machining environment.
12. Ability to read product prints and match products accordingly.
13. Proficiency with measuring devices.
14. Setup machines using basic hand tools and measuring devices.
15. Identify and troubleshoot common machine problems.
16. Follow standard operating procedures and maintain machine cleanliness and tool organization.
