Lantech is seeking a Machine Operator – Saw to operate a horizontal band saw and drill press in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. You will read blueprints, measure to 1/32 inch, and ensure safety and quality throughout production.

The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and adherence to schedules, with overtime as needed to meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail and safety commitment are essential for success at Lantech.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational or trade school training preferred.
• Prior experience operating a horizontal band saw and drill press preferred.
• Manufacturing or machine operation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate a horizontal band saw to cut material to specified lengths.
• Operate a drill press to drill and tap holes to designated sizes.
• Read and interpret basic mechanical blueprints and production specifications.
• Use a tape measure to measure material to 1/32 inch.
• Follow standardized work instructions to ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are met.
• Inspect materials and completed work to ensure they meet required specifications.
• Safely handle and maneuver materials and equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Support production schedules and work overtime as needed to complete projects and meet deadlines.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.

Why You Matter

As a Machine Operator – Saw, you will operate a horizontal band saw and drill press to prepare materials for production. Your attention to detail and ability to follow standardized work will be essential to maintaining safety, quality, and productivity throughout the manufacturing process.

1st Shift: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM

What You’ll Do

• Operate a horizontal band saw to cut material to specified lengths.
• Operate a drill press to drill and tap holes to designated sizes.
• Read and interpret basic mechanical blueprints and production specifications.
• Use a tape measure to accurately measure material to 1/32 inch.
• Follow standardized work instructions to ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are met.
• Inspect materials and completed work to ensure they meet required specifications.

Desired Experience

• Prior experience operating a horizontal band saw preferred.
• Prior experience operating a drill press preferred.
• Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience is a plus.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational or trade school training preferred.
