Overview:

Responsible for ensuring equipment and facility sanitary specifications are met. Regularly required to walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, or hear. Occasionally climb or balance. Must regularly lift/move up to 50 lbs. Exposed to extreme cold, wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and chemicals.

Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Perform cleaning tasks as assigned, including facility and equipment sanitation, maintaining cleanliness of common areas, and post-op cleaning.


2. Ensure sanitary specifications of equipment and facilities are met.


3. Understand and properly use cleaning chemicals and procedures.


4. Work collaboratively with team members in Sanitation and Production departments.


5. Use proper personal protective equipment.


6. Be flexible with job assignments and working conditions.


7. Follow plant rules, GMPs, and clean equipment criteria.


8. Operate equipment to ensure proper filling and sealing of products.


9. Perform size changeovers and quality inspections, make adjustments as needed.


10. Record maintenance activities, inspection data, downtime, and output.


11. Troubleshoot machines, perform minor repairs, and assist with preventative maintenance.


12. Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to follow detailed instructions and handle standardized problems.


• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.


• Prior machine operator experience preferred.


• Ability to operate forklift and pallet jack.


• Computer literacy and documentation skills.


• Ability to keep pace with production line and adapt quickly.


• Team player with good communication skills.


• Adherence to GMPs, SOPs, and company policies.


• Follow written and oral instructions, strive to meet customer requirements.
