Job summary

Oldcastle, a CRH company, is seeking a Machine Operator to operate plant machinery and a sit-down forklift while following safety policies to produce a superior product. Reasonable accommodations may be made for qualified individuals.

The role requires reading specifications, moving pallets, performing routine maintenance, and assisting with setup to meet deadlines. A high school diploma or equivalent and forklift experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Safely operate forklift to move pallets to staging areas or load pallets onto vehicles.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area and assist other operators as needed.
• Monitor machines for defects and perform routine maintenance.
