Job summary

Oldcastle, a CRH company, is seeking a plant operator in Florida to run machinery according to safety policies and procedures. You will ensure product quality and assist with setup and maintenance to meet production deadlines.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to read safety and operating instructions, basic Math, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Proficiency with MS Office is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/equivalent or 1 month related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
• Ability to perform basic math operations.
• Ability to solve problems with multiple concrete variables.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Maintain high accuracy in all tasks.
• Must lift/move up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Set stops or guides to specified lengths as indicated by scales or templates.
• Observe machine operation to detect product defects or malfunctions.
• Review product for inconsistencies or quality.
• Perform routine machine maintenance.
• Assist other operators to set up machines and meet deadlines.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the assigned area.
• Other duties as needed.
