Next Level Staffing is currently recruiting for a Machine Operator / Lumber Handler for a client located in Pewaukee.

Primary Function

Assist the Mill/Glue Department with running material to specifications based on each individual order through the machine.

Responsibilities and Duties

1. Move material to/from work station using a forklift
2. Read order specifications to set-up machinery to run order
3. Run tally counts on lumber and verify accuracy of order using tape measure and digital caliper
4. Keep work area clean
5. Assist with performing maintenance and upkeep on mill machinery and equipment
6. Assist yard where needed
7. Perform other tasks as assigned

Requirements and Experience

• Forklift experience required
• Ability to read a tape measure and digital caliper
• Count material accurately
• Identify various lumber types
• Ability to perform duties in a shop environment
• Stand for extended periods and do a fair amount of walking
• Physically fit (lift up to 10 lbs regularly and up to 60 lbs occasionally)
• Team-oriented
• Customer relations skills
• Dependable and reliable attendance
