Job summary

Canam Steel Corporation in Buckeye, Arizona is seeking a Machine Operator II to run moderately complex machinery and support efficient production. You will operate according to SOPs, monitor output and quality, and handle materials with overhead cranes.

This role requires crane certification, up to 50 pounds lifting, and the ability to work 1st shift with overtime as needed. Prior experience in manufacturing is preferred, and you must maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all safety

Career Description

The Machine Operator II is responsible for operating moderately complex machinery in a manufacturing environment to ensure smooth and efficient production processes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Operate machinery according to standard operating procedures.
• Monitor production output and quality to meet specifications.
• Operate overhead cranes for efficient material handling.
• Operate a variety of machinery, including but not limited to, bridging machines, saws, channel shears, angle shears, crimpers, and end bar benders.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment as required.
• Lifting or moving heavy objects.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Adhere to safety protocols.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Regular, reliable, punctual and consistent attendance. Must be able to work regular and/or flexible hours or shifts, overtime, weekends as required.

Career Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to perform all job functions of Machine Operator I.
• 6 months of experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
• Valid crane certification.
