Sonoco in Hartselle, AL is seeking a Machine Operator II for the third shift (10p-6a) to run lumber-processing equipment and ensure quality on every job.

Work in a non-temperature controlled warehouse, lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for long periods, and collaborating with a team while following safety policies and supervisor instructions. Experience with hand tools and ability to troubleshoot is required.

Formación

• Minimum 1 year of machine operating experience in an industrial environment.
• Extensive knowledge of personal hand tools and safe use to operate, adjust and maintain production equipment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; work well independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Working knowledge of our products and their quality requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsabilidades

• Operate machines to process lumber from raw material to finished product.
• Make incremental process adjustments and monitor/report quality of manufactured products.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Perform duties as designated by supervisor/manager and support quality/safety policies.
• Assist other departments as needed in a fast-paced production environment.
