Sonoco is seeking a Machine Operator I in Jefferson, TX. You will operate machines to process lumber into components for wood reels used in wire and cable packaging, with a 2nd shift (3pm–11pm) and overtime opportunities.

Reporting to the Team Lead, you will monitor quality, adjust processes, maintain a clean work area, and comply with safety policies in a non-temperature controlled warehouse with dust and noise. PPE and safety gear provided.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 1 year of machine operating experience in an industrial environment.
• Extensive knowledge of personal hand tools and use them safely to operate, adjust, and maintain production equipment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, work well independently, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Working knowledge of our products and their quality requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
• Working knowledge of 5S is helpful but not required.

• Make incremental process adjustments and monitor product quality.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Perform duties as designated by supervisor/manager.
• Support Sonoco’s quality and safety policies.
