Job summary

Trex Company is seeking a Machine Operator I to support production and quality goals. You will operate production equipment, perform quality checks, and handle material delivery while maintaining safety and efficiency.

The role requires ability to work 12-hour shifts, lift up to 50 pounds, and comply with PPE requirements, contributing to Trex’s “people first” culture and continuous improvement mindset.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment or with bulk materials/chemical systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Put safety first - always
• Work as a team to drive our “people first” culture
• Work in a safe and efficient manner at all times, including Lock Out/Tag Out procedures
• Perform housekeeping duties to keep plant in a safe state
• Perform quality control checks on product during the production process to ensure specifications are met
• Deliver raw materials to the process lines to meet production goals
• Must be forklift certified with proper vision, hearing and motor skills
• Operate forklift and other equipment such as grinders, mills, and hand tools safely
• Operate production-classified machinery for different product movements
• Control production line processes and troubleshoot/adjust as needed
• Perform special processes and projects as required by leadership
• Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, stand for long periods
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must comply with PPE requirements at all times
