Job summary

Liberty Packaging – Phoenix is seeking a Machine Operator I to safely produce quality corrugated products. You will set up orders, perform quality checks, enter production data, and communicate issues to leadership while assisting a growing crew.

You will report to a Production Supervisor at our Phoenix facility and contribute to maintenance and continuous improvement efforts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 2+ years of manufacturing work experience OR 3+ years experience if no education.
• Experience with computers, typing, data entry.
• Experience applying math skills.
• Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions.
• Overtime/weekend/holiday availability.

Responsibilities

• Operate machine by setting up orders according to customer specifications and prepare tools.
• Perform quality checks by inspecting first article and subsequent articles to ensure quality.
• Enter production metrics into a computer system to track production, quality, maintenance, and downtime.
• Communicate equipment issues to leaders, troubleshoot, and work to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Provide guidance to Assistant Machine Operators as needed.
• Assist with minor repairs to equipment with maintenance team.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area following post-order cleaning.
• Follow plant safety processes and procedures for the machine center.
• Other duties as assigned.
