Job summary

Kelly is seeking a Machine Operator I for a premier metals manufacturing client in Green Cove Springs, FL. Starting pay is $16.00 per hour. 1st shift runs Monday–Friday 7:00 am–3:30 pm; 2nd shift runs 3:30 pm–12:00 am.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of machine operation or metal fabrication experience and can read tape measures and blueprints. You will set up and run roll-forming and fabrication equipment, inspect tolerances, and package finished parts.

Qualifications

• : 1–2 years of machine operator or metal fabrication experience in an industrial environment.
• : Ability to read tape measures and use calipers.
• : Ability to read blueprints and technical work instructions.
• : Comfortable using hand, power, and air tools for changes and adjustments.
• : Must pass a standard pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• : Preferred experience with roll-forming mills, metal stamping presses, or tube-bending lines.
• : Preferred overhead crane or forklift certification.
• : Able to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs on concrete floors.

Responsibilities

• : Setting up, operating, and tending roll-forming machinery and secondary metal fabrication equipment.
• : Operating mechanical and hydraulic power presses, press brakes, plate rolls, and automated CNC punch/cutoff systems.

• : Handling materials, loading metal coils, and removing finished parts or scrap.
• : Performing daily preventative maintenance and adhering to all safety protocols.

What’s a typical day as Machine Operator I? You’ll be:

• Setting up, operating, and tending roll-forming machinery and secondary metal fabrication equipment.

This Job Might Be An Outstanding Fit If You

• Have 1-2 years of machine operator or metal fabrication experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment (required).
• Can accurately read a tape measure and use dial/digital calipers (required).
• Are able to read blueprints, production orders, and technical work instructions.
• Are comfortable using hand, power, and air tools for changeovers and adjustments.
• Can pass a standard pre‑employment drug screen and background check (required).
• (Preferred) Have experience with roll‑forming mills, metal stamping presses, or tube‑bending lines.
• (Preferred) Hold overhead crane or forklift certification, and are familiar with metal gauges and properties.
• Can stand, walk, and perform repetitive lifting (up to 50 lbs) on concrete floors for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.
