Job summary

Oldcastle APG in Georgia Masonry Supply is seeking an Equipment and Machine Operator to operate plant machinery, follow safety policies, and produce high-quality precast concrete products.

You will read specifications, adjust equipment, perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and keep the work area clean. A high school diploma and ability to lift up to 50 lbs are required; experience with Microsoft Office is a plus; training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Set stops or guides to specific lengths as indicated by scale or templates.
• Observe machine operation to detect product defects or machine malfunction.
• Review product for inconsistencies or abnormal appearance assuring product meets quality requirements.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery.
• Assist other operators to set up machines and meet deadlines.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Other duties as assigned as needed.
