Job summary

Charter Next Generation, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator - Day Shift to join our Turner Falls, MA manufacturing team. You will operate plastic extrusion equipment, follow safety procedures, and participate in certification on the line.

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with a 2-2-3 pattern. You will manage resin feeding, set up changes, monitor quality, perform housekeeping and prevent maintenance tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in manufacturing, technical field or engineering.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and lift up to 65 pounds.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort with measuring tools.
• Strong communication skills and positive attitude.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a technical environment.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Wages up to$23.00 per hour, dependent on experience. Additional $2.50 night shift differential.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies and procedures.
• Participate in the training curriculum as an operator learning aspects of plastic extrusion line operations while completing assigned duties required for certification
• Change plastic extruding machine, set up according to production line changes following specifications on work orders, and examine products for nonconformance to specifications
• Responsible for monitoring quality and accuracy of the line and scrap
• Perform housekeeping and preventative maintenance tasks as required to maintain equipment
• Set up plastic extrusion machines (shut-down, start-up, switchovers, order preparation, and production, of plastic extrusion lines).
• Responsible for raw materials (resin) by keeping extruder fed with resin mixture
• Maintain good interaction and teamwork with supervisor and co-workers
• Give assistance to co-workers to expedite changeovers

The Role

From machine operators to maintenance technicians to quality inspectors, our teams help protect what matters most—making everyday life safer, smarter, and more sustainable. .

Schedule:Work only 15 days per month with our unique 2-2-3 schedule

• 12-hour static shifts(Days -5:00am -5:00pm)
