Job Details

• Cut Machine operators are responsible for leading the cut machine crew and keeping the machines running efficiently.
• Prioritize the order of products to meet demands.
• Set machines based on specific products to maximize yields.
• Adjust weight and thickness parameters as needed.
• Read work orders and inform staff about upcoming items and piece counts.
• Operate saws to portion subprimals into steaks by weight using a band saw.

Pay Rate: $19.00/hour

Schedule: Mon-Fri, occasional Saturday, 4:30 pm until finish

Responsibilities

• Lead the cut machine crew and ensure efficient machine operation.
• Prioritize and set up machines to meet demand and maximize yield.
• Read work orders and coordinate with staff.
• Operate saws and portion subprimals into steaks.

Skills

• Operate saws safely, recognize portion weights visually, and manage yield and throughput.
• Serve as a meat cutter, program machines, troubleshoot, and lead the team when needed.
• Read tickets, recognize meat cuts, perform basic math, and work efficiently in a cold/wet environment.
• Have basic computer skills and knowledge of products.
