Job summary

ProAmpac in Lenexa, KS is seeking a Converting Operator for the 3rd shift (11:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m., Sun–Thu). You will set up, run, and maintain high-speed equipment that converts plastic film into bags, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Ability to read a measuring tape.
• Strong desire to learn and grow within manufacturing.
• Ability to read, write, and follow simple, clear instructions.
• Previous production or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and complete safe operation of a pouch machine
• Monitor and adjust for differences in bag sizes during set up
• Resolve mechanical issues as needed
• Remove finished film from the machine and stage it on pallets for pickup
• Keep the pouch/bag machine area well supplied with materials for the next shift
• Continuously monitor pouch/bag machine operations for efficiency, quality and minimal scrap
• Ensure production of high quality products
• Maintain accurate production records
• Follow all safety guidelines, wear required PPE, and meet OSHA standards
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment
• Complete rework tasks as needed

In this role, you’ll prepare, run, and maintain high‑speed equipment to convert plastic film to a bag.
