Job summary

Pregis is seeking a 3rd Shift Converting Operator in the United States. You will set up extrusion lines, monitor safety and quality, and prepare for changeovers to keep production efficient.

Responsibilities include reviewing order specs, ensuring material availability, inspecting finished film, and training teammates under supervision. Growth opportunities exist within and beyond Production.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-5 years of manufacturing experience in a production environment.

• Under Lead Operator direction, train team members on procedures, safety, and quality.
• Learn all equipment to make adjustments when needed.

3rd Shift Converting Operator

Converting Operators are responsible for all aspects of production from start to finish. This includes maintaining a clean and safe operating environment, preparing for changeovers, testing product quality, efficiently operating machines, planning materials for production, immediately reporting any concerns/issues with safety, machines, quality, etc. to the appropriate individual, and more.

Compensation for this position starts at $20.36. This is based on skill; many advancement opportunities will be available.

This may include opportunities within and outside of the Production Department.

Safety

• Understand and follow all safety procedures and policies.


• Follow all safety rules and procedures established by the company Ta


• Take personal responsibility for own safety and fellow employees, correcting and/or assisting in thecorrection of any safety hazard identified.


• Immediately report any safety concerns/issues to the appropriate individual

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate extrusion lines and support high-quality product.


• Reviews order specifications to ensure the correct packaging supplies and raw materials are available to produce a product that meets the customer's specifications.


• Observes and checks finished film coming off the production lines and takes immediate corrective action to eliminate the causes of a sub-standard product.


• Remove and package finished rolls from machine.


• Monitors equipment to ensure it is operating properly and under supervision of the Lead Operator performs routine maintenance on equipment.


• Complete daily production paperwork and troubleshoot stoppages and breakdowns.


• Under the direction of the Lead Operator may train team members correct operating procedures, safety, and quality policy procedures.


• Learn and comprehend all equipment so adjustments can be made if/when needed.

• Adhere to and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices as outlined at Pregis Films.


• Perform all aspects of the position to the highest quality.


• Report any non-conformance to Supervisor immediately.


• Know all quality standards and expectations of the position and if not sure, ask the supervisor beforecontinuing.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.


• 2-5 years' manufacturing experience in a production environment.
