Job summary

ProAmpac in Lenexa, KS is seeking a Machine Operator (Lamination) for the 2nd shift, Mon-Fri, 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. You will set up and run lamination equipment to produce laminated film meeting production, quality, and food safety standards.

The role requires attention to adhesion, film integrity, and compliance with GMP, SQF, OSHA, PPE, and food safety protocols in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Prior production experience and strong teamwork are valued.

Qualifications

• Ability to read a measuring tape.
• Desire to learn and grow within manufacturing.
• Ability to read, write, and follow simple instructions.
• Previous production or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to adjust machines as needed.
• Ability to monitor equipment and identify quality/production issues.
• Ability to exert 20-50 lbs occasionally, 10-25 lbs frequently, up to 10 lbs constantly.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and adjust lamination equipment to meet standards.
• Load, unload, and stage film, adhesive rolls, and materials.
• Monitor adhesive application, film tension, and machine performance.
• Conduct quality checks: measurements, coat weight, mix ratio.
• Maintain accurate production, quality, and computer logs.
• Identify and dispose of contaminated adhesives or solvents per procedures.
• Handle hazardous and universal waste; complete Haz‑Mat training.
• Follow GMP, SQF, OSHA, PPE, and food safety requirements.
• Perform routine cleaning, inspections, and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

About The Opportunity
