Job summary

Sabre Industries in Texas seeks a Machine Operator C to support the manufacturing team. You will cut, lay out, punch, bend, drill and stamp materials per shop drawings and operate Sabre software to report time to operations.

The role requires 1–2 years of related experience, the ability to read blueprints and tape measures, and the commitment to complete Sabre’s Machine Operator C certification plus forklift certification.

Qualifications

• Regular and timely attendance is required.
• Ability to read and understand a tape measure to 1/16 inch or metric dimensions.
• Ability to read, understand and communicate effectively in English.
• Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, tape measure and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals.
• Must complete Sabre’s Machine Operator C certification and certify to use overhead cranes and gantries.
• Must complete Sabre’s forklift certification (5k or 6k) and operate a forklift safely.

Responsibilities

• Read shop drawings and determine the sequence of operations.
• Cut, lay out, punch, bend, drill, or stamp materials as detailed in shop drawings.
• Change or replace tooling and consumables on machines.
• Set machines properly to avoid damage.
• Load nesting programs into machines.
• Follow work instructions and prepare items for processing.
• Log run time and quantities in the Epicor system.
• Perform simple maintenance diagnosis on machines.
• Operate overhead cranes, gantries, forklifts, and combi lifts.
• Keep work area clean and organized; support housekeeping.
• Contribute to safe working environment and teamwork.
• Attend to additional duties as assigned.
