Job summary

Sabre Industries in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Machine Operator B to perform cutting, laying out, punching, bending and drilling according to shop drawings. You will work under the Manufacturing Manager and assigned lead person to ensure quality and safety throughout production.

The role requires a high school diploma and 1+ years welding experience; ability to read blueprints and use a tape measure; physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on-site with possible weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years recent experience in a welding environment.
• Ability to read blueprints, tape measure and understand safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Determines operation sequence by reading shop drawings and work orders.
• Cuts, lays out, punches, bends, drills or stamps materials per drawings with minimal defects.
• Changes or replaces tooling and/or consumables on machines as needed.
• Uses proper setting technique of machines to avoid damage.
• Reads tape measures to 1/16 inch and follows work instructions.
• Operates overhead cranes and forklifts to move materials.
• Maintains a clean, organized work area and supports safety and quality.
