Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma/GED equivalent, plus 1-3 years related experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, tape measure, micrometer, square, and protractor.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations with whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
• Forklift certification must be obtained.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate all listed machinery (small mechanical press breaks, punch presses, deburring machines, straightener, large shear, cold saw, drill table, hand bender, spotfacer).
• Perform first piece inspection to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Read parts lists, blueprints and drawings.
• Perform routine and minor maintenance per Company procedures.
• Complete and maintain all required paperwork and records.

Lakeside is currently seeking a skilled 1st Shift Machine Operator to join our dedicated team. This is a key role responsible for precision welding and assembly of stainless steel products that meet our high-quality standards and customer specifications.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:

• Schedule: 4-day workweek – Monday through Thursday, 10-hour shifts
• Shift: 1st Shift 5:00 am - 3:30 pm
• Overtime: As needed, additional hours are available on Fridays

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Setup and operate all of the following machinery:
  • Small mechanical press breaks and small mechanical punch presses
  • Deburring machines
  • Straightener
  • Large shear
  • Cold saw
  • Drill table
  • Hand bender
  • Spotfacer
• Perform first piece inspection to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Read parts lists, blueprints, and drawings.
• Perform all required routine and minor maintenance activities according to Company procedures.
• Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Requires a high school diploma/GED equivalent, plus 1-3 years related experience
• Ability to read blueprints, tape measure, micrometer, square, and protractor.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to successfully pass forklift certification.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand up to 9 hours a day.
• Vision requirements include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Exposure to Electro Magnetic Fields. EMF fields can interfere with some medical implants, including pacemakers.
