Job summary

Cardinal Staffing in Saline, MI is hiring a Machine Operator to join a Production team on the 3rd shift (11pm–9:30am, or 8–10 hours/day, 4 days/week). You will operate plastic injection molding machines, produce quality parts to spec, and complete required production paperwork.

Required: high school diploma or GED, dependable attendance, and basic mechanical skills. Experience in assembly or manufacturing is preferred.

Cardinal Staffing is seeking a dependable Machine Operator to join a Production team in Saline, MI. The Machine Operator is responsible for operating plastic mold injection machinery, producing quality products to customer requirements, completing required documentation, and maintaining a safe and clean work area. Position is 3rd shift (11pm - 930am but could be 8-10 hours a day, 4 days a week). Pay starts at $18.50/hr.

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned machines according to work instructions and safety procedures.
• Perform quality checks and measurements to ensure products meet requirements.
• Complete production and quality paperwork accurately.
• Report quality issues or machine malfunctions to the appropriate supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Communicate effectively with team members and other shifts.
• Assist other machine operators as needed.
• Work overtime as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Assembly or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Basic mechanical skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to learn and use calipers, gauges, micrometers, and scales.
• Ability to understand basic verbal and written instructions.
• Dependable attendance and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical & Safety Requirements

This position may involve repetitive gripping/grasping, bending, twisting, climbing, and extended periods of standing, sitting, or walking. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. and follow applicable manufacturing safety requirements. Forklift/Hi-Lo experience is a plus, but not required. Plastic injection molding experience is helpful but not required.
