Basic Function

As a Machine Operator 1 at Johnson Screens, you will operate manufacturing machinery in alignment with our values of being a true "Johnsonite." Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor assigned machines and equipment to ensure consistent, high-quality production that meets established standards.
• Follow work orders, production drawings, and technical specifications to set up machinery and maintain accurate operations.
• Identify opportunities to improve machine efficiency, quality output, and production processes.
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely completion of production schedules while maintaining quality and safety.
• Perform routine checks and preventative maintenance on machinery to ensure smooth operation, demonstrating a proactive approach to equipment care.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality guidelines, and company policies.
• Work confidently and competently in a fast-paced environment, adjusting machine settings as needed.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area for safety and collaboration.
• Accurately record production data, equipment usage, and maintenance activities.
• Comply with all requirements of the Quality System Manual, Operating and technical procedures, and work instructions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
