Job Purpose
The primary purpose of the Machine Operator is to operate and monitor machines used in the production of the organization's product. Responsibilities may include equipment set-up, preventative maintenance, and performing finish operations.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Adhere to Integer Values and all safety, environmental, security, and quality requirements, including but not limited to: Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety, Environmental and Security Management Systems, FDA regulations, company policies, and other regulatory requirements.
- Apply proficiency within discipline, complete tasks, and solve routine problems with some independence.
- Involved in equipment setup and/or more complex assignments.
- Load component materials into specific tools and perform finishing operations.
- Read and follow operating manuals, maintenance instructions, and procedures.
- Inspect parts visually and dimensionally to ensure conformance to requirements.
- Follow established documentation for product manufacturing and complete required documentation.
- Clean and maintain machinery as needed.
- Expand skills through on-the-job training, cross-training, job rotations, and classroom instruction.
- Participate in team activities focusing on continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other functions as required.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years related experience operating machinery in a regulated manufacturing environment; medical device experience preferred.
Knowledge & Skills
- Working knowledge of drawings and blueprints, with the ability to interpret information.
- Ability to work with small precision parts.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and follow detailed instructions in English.
- Basic knowledge of visual and dimensional inspection techniques.
Compensation
Salary ranges from $19.04 to $27.92 per hour, plus a shift differential of 22%.
