Position Overview

The primary purpose of the Machine Operator is to operate and monitor machines used in the production of the organization’s product. The role may involve equipment setup, preventative maintenance of more complex assignments, and performing finish operations.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

• Adhere to Integer Values and all safety, environmental, security, and quality requirements, including but not limited to: Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety, Environmental and Security Management Systems, U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, company policies, operating procedures, and other regulatory requirements.
• Apply proficiency within discipline, complete tasks and assignments, and solve routine problems with some independence.
• Participate in equipment setup and more complex assignments as needed.
• Load component materials into product-specific tools and perform finishing operations.
• Read and follow operating manuals, maintenance instructions, and procedures.
• Inspect parts visually with microscopes and/or dimensionally to ensure conformance to requirements.
• Follow established documentation for product manufacturing and complete all required documentation.
• Clean and maintain machinery as necessary.
• Expand skills through on-the-job training, cross-training, job rotations, and classroom instruction.
• Participate in team activities focusing on continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform other functions as required.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred.
• At least 2 years of related work experience operating machinery in a regulated manufacturing environment; medical device experience preferred.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Working knowledge of drawings and blueprints; ability to interpret technical information.
• Ability to work with small precision parts and read in English, comprehend, and follow detailed instructions.
• Basic knowledge of visual and dimensional inspection techniques.

Salary range: $19.04 - $27.92 per hour, plus a shift differential of 22%.
