Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated is seeking a Press Machine Operator for its NC manufacturing site. The role operates mold presses, sets up machinery, and uses blueprints to assemble enclosures efficiently and safely.

You will record production data, maintain inventory at the workstation, and adhere to safety and quality standards while supporting the production team. The position requires attention to detail, readiness to work 2nd shift, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment with occasional Saturday OT

Job Overview

The Press Machine Operator is responsible for operating machinery and equipment used in the manufacturing of enclosures. This role involves performing specialized tasks to create both standard and customized products efficiently and safely.

Schedule: 2nd Shift Schedule - 2:00 pm to 10:15 pm Monday to Friday with OT on Saturdays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate various machines and perform mold press operations to support the production team.
• Set up and operate machines according to specific procedures and guidelines.
• Interpret blueprints, diagrams, and other technical documents to assemble equipment and products accurately.
• Record production quantities, including acceptable items and scrap.
• Use hand tools such as screwdrivers and drills effectively.
• Manage and maintain inventory at the workstation.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet the required standards.
• Identify and report any product defects to the supervisor.
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently to meet production targets and customer demands.
• Adhere to safety, quality, and productivity standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.
• Accurately document data and maintain records as required.
• Adjust machine settings as needed to ensure quality production.
• Report safety concerns and incidents to management promptly.

Additional Responsibilities

• Frequently lift up to 35 pounds and perform repetitive tasks.
• Demonstrate manual dexterity for assembly tasks.
• Participate in special projects as needed.
• Handle hazardous materials safely, with a good understanding of MSDS.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic quality issues.
• Work independently or as part of a team.
• Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Stand for prolonged periods.
