Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated in New Hampshire seeks a production machine operator to run multiple machines (saws, presses, drills) and load raw materials. You will study blueprints and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances, start and monitor machines, detect malfunctions, adjust settings, and verify that finished work meets the required quality standards.

This role requires physical stamina: able to lift up to 35 pounds, stand for 75% of the shift, bend and push as needed, and handle

• Measures dimensions on workpiece.
• Starts and runs machinery to produce product, detects malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.
• Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications.
• Adjusts and operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.
• Tests operation of unit to ensure functionality and performance.
• Assembles product as needed.

Job Overview

Operates a multiple of production machines such as saws, presses, drills, and other hand and/or powered equipment, as well as automatic presses and similar equipment which may require raw material to be loaded onto stock reels.

A Day In The Life

• Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, or specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and limited setup requirements.
