Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated in Oklahoma is seeking a production operator to run and troubleshoot multiple machines, including saws, presses, and drills. You will read blueprints, adjust settings, and perform preventive maintenance to meet quality specs.

The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and a clean, organized workstation in line with Hubbell’s 6S policy. The successful candidate will have at least two years of manufacturing experience and be proficient with precision measuring devices.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years’ experience in manufacturing.
• Must be able to use precision measuring devices.
• Read & interpret blueprints & diagrams to select, position & secure machinery.
• Display a positive attitude toward work including striving for maximum production & quality.

Responsibilities

• Operates a variety of production machines such as saws, presses, drills, and other equipment.
• Performs setup, operation, monitoring, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on assigned machines.
• Inspects parts to specifications and makes tool changes as necessary.
• Sets up and operates production machines according to procedures and guidelines.
• Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately and timely.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area per 6S policy.
• Follows instructions from lead person and supervisors.
• Operates equipment safely and efficiently and inspects own work for conformity to standards.
• Assists in other areas as necessary.

Job description

Operates a multiple of production machines such as saws, presses, drills, and other hand and/or powered equipment, as well as automatic presses and similar equipment which may require raw material to be loaded onto stock reels.

• Performing various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot & perform preventive maintenance on assigned machines.
• Inspect parts to specifications & adjust, or tool changes as necessary to maintain quality specifications.
• Sets up & operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures & guidelines.
• Read & interpret blueprints & diagrams to select, position & secure machinery.
• Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications & in a timely manner.
• Make suggestions to supervisors for improvements associated with assigned work.
• Maintain a clean & orderly work area per Hubbell’s 6S policy.
• Follow instructions, both written & verbal, from the lead person & production supervisors.
• Operate all equipment in a safe & efficient manner.
• Inspect own work for conformity to standards.
• Assist in other areas as necessary.
