Job Summary:

To provide accurate and quality products to our customers by adhering to specifications and operating in the most cost-effective and productive manner while supporting line associates in production and packaging areas.

Hours of Operation:

Training is typically conducted on 1st or 2nd shift. Once completed, you will move to either 2nd or 3rd shift.

Monday through Friday

1st Shift: 6:00AM - 2:30PM

Sunday through Thursday

Job Duties:

• Complete pre-operational inspection of the area.
• Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and resolve machine issues according to specifications.
• Keep the line equipment operating safely and efficiently. Willingness to learn preventative maintenance.
• Learn and perform all line-related positions within the production and packaging area.
• Follow all equipment cleaning processes (before, during, and after shift).
• Ensure compliance with specifications.
• Monitor production, efficiency, and product quality.
• Maintain documentation and records for the area (material receipts, returns, production worksheets, efficiency, labor standards). Basic math skills are necessary.
• Knowledge of GMPs, OSHA, and HACCP.
• Stay familiar with all Standard Operating Procedures and update training accordingly.
• Provide feedback to the lead regarding employee relations issues. Back-up lead in their absence.
• Give limited work direction to line associates and train production employees as needed.
• Motivate team members to achieve quality and productivity goals.
• Collaborate with R&D on new and existing products.
• Work flexible schedules as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Competencies & Knowledge:

Work Environment:

Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, electrical shock risk, and vibration. The environment may be noisy, wet/humid, and vary in temperature from refrigerated to warm conditions depending on the facility.

Physical Requirements:

Must frequently stand, operate tools or controls, and occasionally sit, walk, stoop, or crouch. May need to ascend/descend stairs. Occasionally move up to 50 pounds with equipment, regularly lift up to 25 pounds, and transfer up to 280 pounds. Visual acuity requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to read, write, and speak English and/or Spanish.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
• High school diploma or GED, or 1-3 months related experience, or equivalent.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and ability to interpret graphs.
• Ability to understand and carry out simple instructions and handle standardized situations.
