Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Slitting Operator to set up, operate, and maintain slitting machines to cut materials to precise specifications. This role ensures efficient production, minimal waste, and adherence to quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Shifts & Pay: **shift differentials are provided!
Employees scheduled to work a majority of their hours in a day during the 2nd or 3rd shift will be paid the appropriate shift differential.

• Set up and operate slitting machines according to job specifications.
• Monitor production to ensure accurate cuts and proper material alignment.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues to minimize downtime.
• Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
• Adjust machine settings to optimize efficiency and material usage.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work area.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and production goals.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Slitting Operator Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE:A minimum of (1) year of experience as a machine operator, particularly in coating, slitting, laminating, or a similar role within manufacturing or textiles, with a high school diploma/equivalent.

SKILLS:

• Previous experience operating slitting or similar machinery preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret job orders, measurements, and specifications.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Basic understanding of safety and maintenance procedures.
• Constant standing, walking, repetitive motions, and eye/hand/foot coordination.
• Frequent lifting/carrying 50lbs, climbing, balancing, heights, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, grasping, and feeling.
• Exposure to production noise and materials related to the slitting process.
• Shift-based work schedule, including potential overtime.
